It’s customary that officers who work with K-9 comrades have official photos taken with their partners. Indiana Conservation Officer, Levi Knach thought that would be a simple enough task, but it seems his partner, Kenobi had other plans.

The 4-year-old Chocolate Lab simply couldn’t contain his enthusiasm and affection for Officer Knach, making for some extremely adorable pics!

The Indiana State Parks Department posted 4 priceless images of Kenobi showering his handler with snuggles and kisses to their Facebook page on Thursday.

The post has since been liked and shared thousands of times with nearly 200 delighted comments from fellow Facebookers – including one proposal to take Officer Knach out on a date!

The endearing portrait session then went viral thanks to the animal-themed Aww SubReddit where Kenobi’s charmingly unprofessional antics garnered a whopping 53,600 upvotes.

Ok, now a serious one… from aww

Despite his handsome mug and sweet personality, the Indiana State Department of Natural Resources wants everyone to know that Kenobi is a very serious officer when he is on duty. He is a highly skilled tracker and is “trained to locate a variety of objects” including venison hunted out of season and the state-protected Ginseng plant.

Knach and Kenobi work in DNR Law Enforcement District 2 which serves Whitley County, so keep your noses clean, northeastern Indiana or this dynamic duo may be coming after you!
