If you identify yourself as either a “dog person” or “cat person,” chances are, there are multiple reasons that you feel this way. It goes beyond which type of companion you currently live with (or maybe it’s both!); it tends to be viewed as a reflection of – well – you!
In the Business Insider video below, Dr. John Bradshaw, Anthrozoologist (“which is basically a biologist who studies interactions between humans and animals,” he says in the clip) and author, explains some of the key traits that separate “dog people” from “cat people.”

According to Dr. Bradshaw, “the choice of animal is much more to do with a lifestyle choice than a personality thing, that any kind of person can bond with either species… it just may be easier for somebody who lives in the country to have a dog or somebody who lives in the city to have a cat.”
