Laila is a Pit Bull whose mom was deployed to the Middle East. Her mom, Petty Officer Second Class Baez, is in the navy and she’s going to be in the Middle East for a year. Baez made foster plans for Laila, but all of them fell through at the last minute. Concerned about what was going to happen to Laila, Baez contacted PACT For Animals and asked for help.
PACT, which stands for People + Animals = Companions Together, is a group that provides programs that benefit companion animals and their owners. They help pet owners find foster families for their pets in emergency situations. Through PACT, the Masusock family in New Jersey offered to foster Laila.
Laila is going to live with the Masusocks while she waits for her mom to come back home.
And one member of the Masusock family is especially fond of Laila–a little girl named Anna.
To comfort Laila while her mom is away, Anna snuggles with her, and even sings her to sleep! Watch the adorable video below!
That was so adorable and so sweet! Anna has a very beautiful voice too! Laila is so lucky to have such a loving foster family to keep an eye on her while her mom is away.
