Ruuxa, a 6 week-old cheetah who was rejected by its mother, is now “best friends” with a 7-week-old Rhodesian ridgeback puppy. Ruuxa was chosen to be raised by San Diego Zoo after he was rejected by his mother in the wild. He was paired with cuddling companion, Raina, who is 1 week older than him.
The Zoo wants the pair to live together 24 hours a day in hopes that the baby cheetah will learn how to build social skills in his new surroundings.
