Spike’s family adopted him from a rescue. He was initially shy when they met the pup, but once they took him on a walk, he kept looking back to ensure the family was still with him. He got attached to his new human pack pretty quickly! The family made it official and brought him home.
The family decided Spike would be a “downstairs” dog, but the pup had other plans. He made himself at home in his mom and dad’s room, insisting their bed was his as well! He adored all the snuggles he could get. But as Spike aged, everything changed.
The senior pup suffered two strokes. He could no longer climb the stairs due to his health challenges and old age. The idea of Spike sleeping alone broke his family’s hearts, so they decided each of them would take turns sleeping on the fold-out couch with him.
