While other dogs spent time with their families, enjoying the good life, this pup, later named Barney, struggled to survive. He remained outside in frigid weather, scrounging for food and shelter. His demise was inevitable as temperatures plummeted. But thankfully, his story was far from over! The abandoned dog that dreamed about warmth and companionship was finally found by a caring person eager to give him the comforts he deserved. When his soon-to-be rescuer approached him, his eyes told a tale of sadness and dismay, which broke her heart.
Barney was taken to the emergency vet clinic. His icy-cold body was so relieved to be indoors. The staff warmed him up while his rescuer stayed close by. After a thorough examination, the vet concluded that Barney was suffering from a parasitic infection. As he sat on the exam table, the scared dog shook. His rescuer came closer and held his precious face in her hands.
It was then that Barney understood that his trauma was officially over. He wagged his tail for the very first time, encouraged by the woman’s kindness. The dog had to stay at the clinic for several days until he was well enough to go home with his new mom.
What these dogs went through must have been terrifying and painful. That's why we're demanding true and complete justice for these pups and their family.
When she picked him up and brought him home, Barney was over the moon! He had all the love he ever dreamed of. Once settled in, Barney’s new owner took him for a walk outside. It happened to be snowing, and she wasn’t sure how he’d respond to the conditions similar to those in which he was found. Amazingly, the dog celebrated his new life, officially leaving his sad days behind him.
