Ralphie, an elderly dog saved from a kill shelter, is utterly adorable! His mom loves his unique features. He has an eye smaller than the other and a humped back. His big ears are so expressive. But Ralphie’s best feature is his tenacity.
The senior pup likely came from an abusive situation and would cower when someone tried to touch him. Ralphie didn’t know what to expect, a kind hand or something sinister. But the traumatized pup soon learned how to feel safe. And that is when his true colors emerged.
The first time Ralphie and his mom met up with some friends for dinner, he was so excited that he began to sing in a “beautiful voice.” It was the cutest thing! Everyone laughed and applauded! This was proof that Ralphie was finally happy.
Ralphie doesn’t understand English words, such as his name, treat, sit, etc. But he hears just fine. Ralphie’s mom says if there’s one question she could ask him, it would be, “What language do you speak?” Hmmm, we wonder too!
