In Brazil, the collapse of iron ore mines resulted in the collapse of a water reservoir that caused a deadly mudslide. The mudslide washed away towns with at least 4 people killed and 20 still missing. But it’s not just humans who were affected by the deadly mudslide. Animals and pets were left behind when the people evacuated.
But amidst the tragedy, there’s a glimmer of hope. The people have united to help not just each other, but also the animals who are affected by the mudslide. People from the community joined the rescuers to help save the poor dogs, cats, chickens, and other animals from the deadly mudslide.

And more photos of volunteers helping in the rescue of the animals prove to us there’s still some good left in this world. One particular group, the Animal Rights Defense Institute–Idda Ouro Preto (IDDA) are focused and determined to rescue as many animals as they can.
