Nic adopted Zasha after the dog lived in three different homes in a short amount of time. Zasha’s Mom admits that she should have had her microchipped immediately. She learned her lesson the hard way when Zasha went missing just before her 2nd birthday.
Zasha was eventually found and taken to a kill shelter. She was scheduled to be euthanized the next day. Thankfully, The Dogs Landing House rescue group stepped in and saved her. They had Zasha for six months before anyone showed interest. Finally, a family put in an adoption application. The rescue group was thrilled. They drove her to meet with them, but they weren’t impressed.
On the way back to the rescue center, the volunteer was scrolling through Facebook when she glanced at Zasha’s original post that was put up eight months prior. Nic had commented, “That’s so crazy she looks so much like one of my dogs that I lost! Her name is Zasha.” Nic added a photo of Zasha, and the volunteer was floored!
It was time to reunite Zasha with her Mom! Nic drove to the rescue center and walked over to her pup’s kennel. But Zasha wasn’t convinced that this woman was her Mom. To learn if the reunion is finally successful, click play on the video below. You may want to have some tissues nearby!
