A woman reached out to Brady and Alex, a couple who rescue dogs in Mexico and asked them for help. She had found a dog that was in terrible shape. The poor pup’s face was purposely burned and she desperately needed medical care. The woman didn’t speak English but thanks to the couple’s bilingual Uber driver they were able to figure out where the dog was located.

The woman and her family took the dog in but couldn’t afford to care for her. When the couple arrived, the family was eternally grateful to the rescuers. The pup was then put into the couple’s car while the family continued to thank them. The dog was absolutely terrified. The couple thought once she met their other rescue dog and saw their home, she would calm down but she couldn’t. She tried to escape through the front door. Even though she was rescued, the poor baby didn’t feel safe.

Amazingly, a few hours later, after Alex got out of the shower, the terrified dog came to her. She snuggled into Alex and even gave her a kiss. That’s when their special relationship began to develop. As Brady puts it, the dog became obsessed with Alex. The sweet girl went from never knowing what a kind human touch felt like to being surrounded by love.

The courageous dog’s story only gets better and we are so thankful for that! A once terrified dog that didn’t trust humans learns all about love! Rescues like this one are food for the soul, don’t you think?
