Milan with Dog Rescue Shelter found a mama dog abandoned by the side of the road. She had been put inside a box and dumped with her litter. The poor dog, despite her trauma, was a doting mother. She watched closely as Milan placed each of her babies inside the box.
The rescuer then picked up the puppies, and Mama, and carried them over to his vehicle. The devoted dog continued to make sure each pup was accounted for. Milan reached over to her to give her some love, and she actually smiled!
Once back at the shelter, Milan fed Mama. She made herself comfortable in her new bed with her family. The babies began to nurse, and Milan was elated. They were going to be okay! It was a delight to witness, considering where they came from.
