Step #1: Leave Dog In Car On a Hot Day
Yep, it’s a simple as that. Dogs can suffer heatstroke or brain damage from heat in as little as 15 minutes. And though you might think you’re “only leaving the dog for a minute”, Remember, you can’t fully control how long you’ll be in the store. You might get stuck in line. You might get distracted by something you didn’t go in for.
Remember, the temperature outside your car is nowhere near the temperature inside your car.
Here’s a handy reference showing just how deadly even a 75 degree fahrenheit day can be.
