Feisty Frenchie Likes To Ride On The Wild Side!

| January 23, 2016

Are you into biker guys? Wait ’til you meet Ollie!

This five-year-old Frenchie loves to ride on the wild side with parents Julian and Gladyz Montoya.

The cool couple have been cruisers for forty years, and when they adopted Ollie, they didn’t want to leave him home while they went on their adventures. So they found a solution: The Pet Palace, a motorcycle attachment specifically designed for small pets.

“The Pet Palace is securely strapped to our Harley’s luggage rack and the passenger back rest. The interior is fleece lined so it’s cozy. It features a security strap which we connect to Ollie’s harness. [He] is snug as a bug in a rug. He is able to move around comfortably and can lie down inside the carrier if he wants, but he loves looking around.”

Although the Pet Palace sounds like a comfy little nook, the Montoyas made sure that Ollie was well-adjusted to his seat before taking him on lengthy rides.

“We slowly introduced motorcycle riding to Ollie last year. First, it was up and down our street…Slowly we added a couple blocks. We wanted to make sure he wasn’t scared or bothered by it at all. Each weekend we’d increase the time by 15 minutes,” said Mrs. Montoya in an article by Mashable.

When Ollie isn’t cruising with his human, he gives back by working as a certified therapy dog! But when it’s time to kick back, the “doggles” (dog goggles) come on. Like a true Montoya, the Frenchie is a natural on the Harley.

“Ollie was born to ride…He took to it like a Frenchie takes to a plate of bacon!” said Mrs. Montoya to Mashable.
