For people who love their pets like family, there’s no limit to what they’ll do to save their dog’s life.
This is the case for the Fields family, whose dog is fighting aggressive stage-four lymphoma. Koda, a 10-year-old Lab mix, has been undergoing chemotherapy and seeing canine cancer specialists for months. But despite their efforts, his prognosis isn’t good; that is, unless they can find one of his siblings to donate some stem cells.
According to a story by KATU, a stem cell or bone marrow transplant could improve his chances of survival by 65 percent. Now, the family is making a plea to anyone who thinks they may have adopted one of Koda’s brothers or sisters.

The Fields family only has a couple months to locate one of Koda’s littermates before time runs out.

Koda’s mom, Roxy, gave birth to two litters of full siblings in Castle Rock [Washington] in November 2007 and July 2008.
The golden lab mix puppies would have gone to their new homes around eight weeks afterwards.
On the news station’s Facebook page, a few commenters have already mentioned that they may know a pup who could be Koda’s relative.
