Hope for Paws, a rescue organization operating in Los Angeles, California, received a phone call from a nurse about a Maltese-poodle mix living in a hospital parking lot. The dog had been living there for several months.
They tried, without success, to rescue the dog during the day, so they had to wait until nightfall, and hope they would be able to sneak up on the crafty stray.
Scared, the dog runs as soon as she looped, but expert rescue worker Eldad Hagar, founder of Hope for Paws, lets the dog run and just stays with her, determined to save this dog’s life.
Finally, she decided to stop running and lets Eldad pet her. Even with all the mats and dirt, you can tell this dog is adorable!
First thing, she gets a bath, which she seems to enjoy – wouldn’t you?
When she has been bathed, her beautiful looks really shine through!
They named her Oakley, and she has blossomed while being fostered by the Hagars.
Oakley needs just one thing to finish her happily ever after – A HOME!
