When a squirrel became trapped inside a family’s pool, a dad, referred to as “Papa,” didn’t hesitate and pulled him out with a net. The little guy was exhausted from trying to survive. Water-logged and weakened from swimming, the squirrel had swallowed water. It was only a matter of time before he stopped breathing. Papa knew he had to do something immediately!
Papa’s little kids stood by, concerned about the tiny squirrel. They sympathetically watched as Papa started compressions. The little guy clung to the net with his paws. He was exhausted and afraid. Papa wrapped him in a towel to keep him warm. He then continued compressions.
Miraculously, the little squirrel perked up. Papa knew he had to calm him and warm him up further. The family also placed some food inside a small cage hoping he would eat. Four hours later, it was time to return him to the wild. Papa took him deep into the woods so he would be safe.
