Cities like San Francisco, Denver and Chicago have long-standing reputations as pet-friendly destinations. Recently even more municipalities have passed legislation to allow doggy dining on restaurant patios. In honor of National Dog Week and the upcoming Adopt-a-Shelter-Pet Month in October, the online restaurant reservation service, Open Table has released their choices for the most dog-friendly eateries across the nation.
The 15 restaurants on this list go far above-and-beyond simply allowing pups on their patios. They feature decadent doggy menus, “Yappy Hour” specials, social events for pooch parents, and even fundraisers and adoption events to benefit area shelters.
Oh, and we hear some of the human cuisine isn’t bad either!
