The 2016 election season has been about one thing: Outsiders.

Whether Democrat or Republican, voters seem to gravitate towards candidates that didn’t take the usual path to the presidential podium.

The “My Vote” Shirt was released by the iHeartDogs company on February 2nd, 2016

Without a doubt, there is a distrust for Washington. No more donkeys. No more elephants. More…. DOGS?

When iHeartDogs founder Justin Palmer released their “My Vote” t-shirt, they had no idea the reaction is would receive. “We thought it would resonate with a select few”, Palmer says, “but had no idea the mass appeal the product would have. In a matter of days it became the single most popular item on our website.”

As of the time of this writing, the product has received over 100,000 likes on Facebook.

“The feedback has been mixed”, Palmer continues, “While the product is selling phenomenally well, people have taken the opportunity to voice their opinion for their chosen candidate on the Facebook post. A lot of the comments have stirred up controversy, to say the least.”

The post has garnered over 4,000 comments to date.

Palmer says that the goal of iHeartDogs is to change the conversation about issues of politics. “What if political candidates behave less like humans and more like dogs? What if they offered the same unconditional love and forgiveness that we see demonstrated from their canine companions?”

Now that sounds like a party EVERYONE would vote for.

As of the time of this writing, The “My Vote” Shirt is Still Available in the iHeartDogs.com store here
