King was dumped at the North Carolina animal shelter by his original owner when he decided he didn’t want the dog anymore. Thankfully, a rescue group came and saved King from being euthanized. But his hardships are far from over.

The first woman who volunteered to foster King had a husband who thought King was too “scary-looking”. So King was returned to the shelter immediately. And since the shelter was closed at that time, King was tied in the fence outside.

The next family who fostered King had to return him because they learned that there was a breed restriction in their area. King only stayed with them for two days.
King then stayed at a boarding facility, and it was there that a dog rescuer named Roberta Sá Griner came to help him. Roberta fostered King for three months, then a woman adopted him. But just like the foster families that King had before, the woman also returned him. Roberta didn’t give up on finding King a forever family. He found a family again, but after several months, they also returned him, saying that they could not afford him anymore.
Being dumped again and again broke King’s heart. Feeling rejected, insecure, he sits crying and hugging his security blanket.
King will be at the Petsmart in Matthews, NC this Saturday from 11-2, come meet him! Info is on Greater Charlotte SPCA website.Charlotte, NCThis is the hardest part, to see how sad King is because yet again his family dumped him. He won’t let go of that blanket that came from them. You can hear him cry :(———————————King is available for adoption through Greater Charlotte SPCA. We will focus on local adopters first . VISIT PET FINDER FOR INFO ON KING: https://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/29337843Even though King is good with kids we are looking for a home with no kids as he needs a home with stability and routine. A home that can provide him daily exercise would be great as he loves to walk and he is an amazing runner! King is amazing with dogs, all sizes! He has ignored the cats he saw at Petco. He never gets into stuff if left outside of his crate and he is fully housebroken.

It’s just so heartbreaking watching King cry because of rejection. Roberta is really confused why this is happening since King is a great dog. According to the post by The Dodo, other than anxiety issues, King had no behavioral issues.
