The Hawman family may have lost their house during Christmas eve, but they’re still happy because thanks to their beloved dog Rex, their Grandma and their other pets were still with them to celebrate Christmas.
The family’s grandmother, Noreen Lucas, was sick with Pneumonia at that time. While the rest of the family went to a relative’s house for dinner, Noreen stayed at home. She was sleeping on the living room couch when the fire broke out. Rex the dog woke her up, and dragged her towards the door. She then saw that the walls of the hallway were already engulfed in flames.
When she saw the massive fire in their home, she managed to get up from the floor, and got the other pets and herself to safety.

The family couldn’t be more thankful to their dog’s heroic deed. They showered Rex with extra hugs and kisses.
