Rita couldn’t wait to go to the shelter to adopt a dog. She knew she would change a deserving dog’s life forever. While she was full of joy to find her fur kid, she was also heartbroken. She wished she could help ALL the shelter dogs find new families. She could see their desperation. Rita couldn’t help financially but had an idea that proved to be genius!

The kind-hearted woman is a professional photographer. She thought if she took special photos of the dogs needing homes the most, it could be a game changer! Rita also volunteers at several LA animal shelters that are overcrowded. They’re open intake, which means if the dogs don’t find forever homes, they have no choice but to put them down. So time is of the essence!

Rita doesn’t just photograph the shelter dogs; she also gives them snuggles, takes them on walks, and sits with them. To date, Rita has photographed hundreds of dogs. Many of these pups have found new homes because of her efforts. She even films them on their freedom walks. It’s incredible!
