On the outside, Pui seems like any other dog living in Thailand but his story is much more incredible than you’d ever imagine. Out on a stroll one day, Pui was digging around a trash dumpsite looking for some extra snacks to eat. To his surprise, he found a very strange white trash bag with some even stranger contents. He brought the bag home to his owner’s house and barked profusely until they came outside to examine his findings. Much to everyone’s surprise, inside the garbage bag was a living baby. The baby girl was crying but alive and although she’d been dumped, they rushed her to the hospital where she was determined to be in fairly good health. Doctors state she was likely born prematurely because she’s so small, but thanks to Pui’s heroic efforts, she’s expected to fully recover. Pui has received a medal from the local Red Cross for his outstanding work!
Animals are constantly showing us just how in-tune they are to humans and how much they care about us, even when we’re strangers. Pui proves to be an excellent example of exactly this – he went out of his way to save a baby he’d never even met before! Amazing!
