#9 – Miniature American Shepherd
Another newer breed, it is part of the Foundation Stock Service® for the AKC, who has no history for the breed at this time. The official club for the breed says they were developed in California in the 1960’s from “small, unregistered dogs that were thought to be Australian Shepherds.” (www.mascusa.org/history.php)
